For fashion enthusiasts, there is no event more anticipated than the Met’s Costume Institute Gala, as it is considered one of the most glamorous and elegant gala events in fashion. And, speaking of timeless glamour and elegance, this year’s gala is a tribute to the late artist, creative director, and designer, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, who passed away in 2019.
Hollywood’s A-listers, social personalities, and music elite brought all the drama to the red carpet, wearing the most fascinating and stunning ensembles ever seen so far. This year’s Met Gala failed to disappoint.
Some of our favourite celebrities, such as Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and A$AP Rocky, Jennie Kim, Anne Hathway, and more, opted for extravagant, cosy, and eye-catching looks in black or white (Lagerfeld’s fav colour palette), reflecting and paying tribute to the life and style of the later designer. Others went for an other colour palette such as light pink (think of Nicole Kidman in her pink silk tulle dress).

PARIS HILTON
Paris Hilton brought all the elegance and glamour to the red carpet. For the occasion, she opted for a black mermaid gown crafted with a rhinestone bustier and gloved sleeves designed by Marc. She completed the look with a rosette choker necklace and platform heels.
RIHANNA & A$AP ROCKY
The lovely couple attended the Met Gala 2023 red carpet wearing both fashionably outfits as usual. Rihanna opted for a camellia-appliquéd cape and matching gown by Valentino. Partner A$AP Rocky wore a Gucci kilt layered over embellished jeans.

Blackpink’s Jennie Kim made her debut at the Met Gala 2023 red carpet. For the occasion, she opted for a vintage Chanel white minidress, adorned with a white rose. She also wore black tights and heels.

Anne Hathaway looked stunning at the Met Gala 2023. For the occasion, she opted for a custom-designed look from Atelier Versace-inspired by Chanel in tweed fabric, pearl detail, and camellia rose chest and a DNA-bearing story of Legacy Versace.

Dua Lipa looked completely gorgeous at the Met Gala 2023 gala event, exuding royalty, and timeless glamour. For the occasion, she wore a vintage figure-hugging corset bodice designed by Chanel. The dress was originally part of Chanel’s fall-winter 1992 collection and featured a low neckline, plus a full skirt with pockets and trimmed in tassels.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell slayed on the Met Gala’s red carpet as she opted for a Chanel vintage gown from the label’s Spring-Summer 2010 collection. The look featured a pink fabric draped over one shoulder with a shimmery bodice and matching silver trim. She also wore silver heels to complete the look.

Jennifer Lopez made a stunning arrival on the Met Gala’s red carpet, wearing a black-and-pink Ralph Lauren gown. The Shotgun Wedding star also wore a black veiled headpiece, long black gloves, a pair of platform shoes, carats diamond studs, a clutch, and a black train attached to the back.

Emily Ratajkowski attended the Met Gala 2023 red carpet wearing a blush Tory Burch gown with black velvet trimming. She also wore diamond jewellery, earrings, and a matching clutch purse.
