Two top-notch resorts make up this well-known entertainment complex, which offers remarkable experiences.

The Atlantis The Palm is the first resort on this island modelled by the Atlantis legend with distinctive Arabian elements. The resort opened on September 24, 2008, as a joint venture between Kerzner International Holdings Limited and Istithmar World.
Wimberly, Tong, and Goo – worldwide companies specialised in opulent hotel complexes – created Atlantis. The 23-story hotel’s design features semi-precious stones, exquisite fossilised shells, and “fish” stones throughout, including ancient Arabian architecture on the inside and outside.

A distinguished group of internationally renowned architects, designers, and landscape architects came together to build Atlantis, The Palm, a totally original, fully integrated entertainment destination resort, under the direction of the late Sol Kerzner, former Chairman of Kerzner International. With its September 2008 premiere, this innovative project redefines the resort experience in Dubai and features the creative skills of Adam D. Tihany of Tihany creative, David Rockwell of The Rockwell Group, and Jeffrey Beers of Jeffrey Beers International (JBI).
In the design phase, the skills of renowned interior resort designers Wilson & Associates, design architects Wimberly, Allison, Tong and Goo (WATG), and cutting-edge landscape architects EDSA were also employed. Famous painters Dale Chihuly and Albino Gonzalez have also created pieces for the resort.

Visitors are welcome to stay at The Royal Towers at Atlantis by a grand promenade that leads to the entryway designed by Wilson & Associates. Each apartment and suite offer breathtaking views of the calm waters of The Palm or the blue Arabian Sea.
The resort’s 1,544 rooms and suites recently had a thorough refurbishment that gave each one a brilliantly modern appearance and feels. Ocean and Palm Beach rooms (45 square meters) and bigger suites with walk-in closets, dressing spaces, and jacuzzi tubs are available as accommodations. Earth tones are used in the interior design to create a beautifully subtle modern look, while bright flashes of colour bring the ocean indoors. bathrooms with marble flooring, granite vanities, rain showers, and dual sinks are opulent.

The Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark is Dubai’s largest waterpark and has appeared on global television shows such as “The Amazing Race.” This extreme theme park spans 148 acres and features over 100 rides and water sport experiences spread across three towers. It is best known for its record-breaking “Leap of Faith” at Neptune Tower, where riders plunge nearly 60 feet vertically (9 stories) down a slide that passes through a terrifying shark tank. New rides to try, including “Odyssey of Terror,” the world’s tallest waterslide, and “Blackout,” the Middle East’s biggest vertical drop slide.
Designers Jeffrey Beers, David Rockwell, Adam D. Tihany, and Wilson and Associates have each added their distinct flare and style to the Arabian culinary scene. Jeffrey Beers’ signature style can be found throughout Atlantis, where he worked with Italian Chef Giorgio Locatelli to create Ronda Locatelli and Gordon Ramsay to construct Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. Beers blended the charm of the Italian countryside with the modernity of Dubai to create a rustic but vibrant environment for Ronda Locatelli. Upon arrival, guests are met with a soothing water pond and a custom-built fireplace, while a central stone-clad structure houses four pizza ovens and grounds the open space.

Six distinct signature suites, each with its own special qualities, are available at the resort. The master bedroom and bathroom have floor-to-ceiling windows that look right into The Ambassador Lagoon, giving guests the impression that they are underwater while looking into the very centre of Atlantis.
The stunning Wilson & Associates-designed Neptune Underwater Suite and Poseidon Underwater Suite both have 165 square metres of space and are spread across three storeys. Large living and dining spaces with views of The Ambassador Lagoon and a butler’s pantry are accessible from the foyer via a grand staircase. Don’t miss Saffron’s renowned themed dinners, which change each week; just be sure to visit on a day that works for you.
