Donatella Versace and Dua Lipa joined forces to design the Versace High Summer women’s collection titled ‘La Vacanza’

Dua Lipa has been a longtime Versace muse but recently, the pop star took her love for the Italian luxury brand a notch higher. Dua collaborated with the Italian luxury house’s chief creative officer Donatella Versace to launch Versace High Summer “La Vacanza” women’s collection. If that wasn’t enough, the summer line dropped at none other than Cannes, where the Cannes Film Festival 2023 is currently taking place. Celebrity-brand collaborations always spark interest and Dua Lipa X Versace is no different. One look at the collection and you will know it is breezy, summery and peppy.

This scintillating summer campaign pays homage to the allure of glamorous style, showcasing a mesmerising array of evening gowns, printed swimsuits, and shimmering sequins. The runway presentation came out in full fashion force as the collection debuted. Inspired by the 90s and Y2K eras, it featured chic cutout mini dresses, classy evening gowns, hot swimwear and much more. Of course, the collection would be incomplete without Versace’s iconic prints inspired by the retro era.

Bold, vibrant colours command attention, serving each piece with an unapologetic sense of chic. What sets the Dua Lipa x Versace collection apart, however, is the personal touch contributed by the pop star herself. Collaborating closely with designer Donatella Versace, the multifaceted singer has lent her creative genius to co-design these extraordinary creations. The sartorial sensibility of ‘La Vacanza’ is all about bright hues, posh tailoring and peppy prints brought all together to serve top-notch fashion. Just in time for summer, the appealing drop is a funky way to give one’s fashion choices a luxe spin. Dua Lipa in this aqua-blue metallic gown is giving summer the most glamorous spin for those starry evenings.

Through the lens of Carlijn Jacobs, Dua Lipa embodies the quintessential Versace girl, following her previous triumph as the face of the Italian fashion powerhouse’s fall 2021 campaign. Butterflies flutter delicately across the fabric while polka dots playfully dance on a number of designs.
“I feel like I know the Versace heritage and history inside out,” Lipa shares. “I feel very lucky that I’ve had the opportunity to learn that so when the opportunity was clear – which we decided on a night out in New York – I began to make little sketches and send them to Donatella.”
