Emily in Paris is one of the most popular romantic comedy series of recent times. It was an immediate international hit after its season one and two premieres. They were among the top 10 most-watched series when it premiered, and again when its second season was released in December 2021. After these two successful seasons, Netflix decided to continue with the third and fourth seasons.
Created by showrunner Darren Starr, “Emily in Paris” plot is about a college graduate girl who moves from Chicago to Paris and aspires to become a marketing executive at the French company Savoy. This experience allowed her to navigate different cultures, meet people and live a love life of interest.
The second season brought some new developments. Emily finds herself in a love triangle. She meets Gabriel, her downstairs neighbour and head chef, and finds herself falling in love with him. Gabriel has a girlfriend, Camille, who also becomes Emily’s friend. Then, Emily meets Alfie, an English banker who is in her French class. They meet and feel in love after Emily and Gabriel break up their romantic relationship.
Later, Emily makes better connections with work, while in the season finale, Sylvie resigns with plans to open her own marketing firm and invites Emily to join the team. Alfie leaves Paris and returns to London. The long-distance relationship with Alfie finds Emily struggling, and she expresses her love for Gabriel. In the finale, Gabriel returns to Camile. ‘Emily in Paris Season 3’: The Cast
Season three will see some returning characters as well as new faces. Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) will reaffirm her role as the main character. Returning supporting characters include aspiring singer Mindy Chen (played by Ashley Park), Emily’s best friend.
Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, an English banker and Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, a chef and Emily’s neighbor and love interest, also return this season Leroy Beaulieu reprises his role as Sylvie, Emily’s boss at the Savoir.
Camille (Camille Razat) returns as Gabriel’s girlfriend. Bruno Gouery, Samuel Arnold and William Abadie also return as Luc, Julien and Antonie. In October 2022, Netflix announced two new guest stars for the third season: Paul Forman as Nicolas de Leon and Melia Kreiling as Sofia Sideris.
