See the top 5 trends that tell the story of the upcoming Spring 2023 season.

Versace Spring 2023

Well, it’s official: warmer season has begun! Which means welcoming a new season of warm spring weather and upgrading our wardrobe with lighter clothing. For this, we first need to know the current spring 2023 boldest fashion trends. There is a lot to look forward to, for sure. After London, Milan, New York and Paris fashion weeks, the collections reflected many moods: from draped jersey and worn, sheer fabrics to vibrant colours and metallics and more streamlined minimalism. In terms of colours, 2023 finally says goodbye to the hot pink that has been reigning over trends for so long, giving way to new and exciting shades, although not only will we see Viva Magenta, but purple will be one of the key shades. Last season it became one of the most important fashion trends, and now it’s back! Also, for the daring ones interested in the sheer styles that also dominated the SS23 runways, choosing a dark purple sheer piece is a great way to embrace this bold style without feeling totally exposed, as we saw in the Versace, Tory Burch, and Ulla Johnson collections.

And of course, retro fashion is still on top, including styles from the 70s, 90s and early 2000s.

And whether it’s embracing inner sexiness with underwear as outwear or getting ready to shine at night courtesy of party-ready metallics, read on to discover the fashion trends that will dominate this spring 2023.

PURPLE HUES

Purple is an increasingly popular colour choice among young buyers who appreciate its gender-inclusive charm. This trendy hue appeared in a variety of forms at the SS23 runway shows, with Adam Lippes opting for a very light lilac, Prabal Gurung opting for lavender and Versace trying strong shades of purpure. Last season, it became one of the biggest fashion colour trends, and now it is back!

HOODED DRESSED

From the runway to the red carpet and now taking over the high street, hooded dresses have dominated the trend sphere this season. Celebrities including Bella Hadid, Rina Sawayama and Leigh Anne-Pinnock, are experimenting with the ultra-glamorous garment popularized by Saint Laurent’s iconic Spring/Summer 2023 womenswear collection. Brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Versace, Tom Ford and Coperni were some of the designers who added this trend to their collections.

UNDERWEAR AS OUTWEAR

One of the trickiest trends to wear, “underwear as outwear”, becomes one of the most fashionable and daring trends to try this spring 2023. Try it with corset tops and bonded bodice dresses. If you are an introverted person, you can also try a longline bralette under a blazer with high-waisted pair of tailored trousers. Amazing!
