The MTV VMA 2022 took place on August 28 and the stars arrived early to show off their wildest styles. Held at the Prudential Center in Newark, and hosted by Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J and Jack Harlow, the big night of music and the MTV VMAs 2022 featured some stellar acts and fashion moments.
The key was not following the ‘less is more’ rule. Slits took center stage in the cuts, whether it was at the navel for Tate McRae and Ashley Graham or at the chest like Anitta. The fabrics have gone up in tone to fill the red carpet with light, with precious stones as in the case of Sabrina Carpenter. And the volumes have multiplied. Lizzo takes the palm with this dark blue cloud dress that has occupied the entire ‘photocall’. The black color has taken the prize for the most used. The men were also present, of course! Most of them bared their torsos and sported gender-fluid fashions, bringing a certain softness to the menswear ensembles, with Conan Gray, Harris Reed Ethan Torchio.

Singer Anitta looked gorgeous paying homage to Lil Kim’s famed 1999 VMAs outfit. She wore an asymmetrical red corset and an artistic nipple cover from Schiaparelli Haute Couture Collection Fall/Winter 2022.
Jack Harlow
Nominee and host, Jack Harlow, wore a standard black suit and choose a chocolate leather ensemble, completing the look with a high-necked shirt in a similar hue.
Dove Cameron
Singer Dove Cameron wore a strapless Paco Rabanne dress, combining with florals and leather fetishwear elements and a black choker to top it all off.
Colton Haynes
Actor Colton Haynes was impossible to miss in an acid-green flared suit by Dior, featuring a wrapped blazer, diamond brooch and platform shoes.

Blackpink’s members Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé graced the red-carpet in complementary all-black outfits.

Lil Nas X was on the spot during the evening award-event! He looked stunning wearing a sculptural Harris Reed ensemble featuring a tiered feathered skirt frame and headdress.
Taylor Swift
Singer Taylor Swift was the QUEEN of the evening! She wore a sparkling dress by Oscar de la Renta and completed the look with a collar of diamonds wrapped around her neck to match baubles glittering across her arms. She also wore her dark blonde hair parted down the middle and tied back, with her signature bright red lipstick highlighting her flawless features.
Conan Gray
Singer Conan Gray chose to grace the runway wearing a whimsical Harris Reed ensemble with a lace-trimmed train and blazer.
